MY THOUGHTS:
It's not secret that I'm a huge fan of Harper Kincaid. Her books are always on point. Every single time. Heart Breaker is in a word; amazing. I loved Samantha. She is an actress and has been in countless plays. She's always a man-eater or player as one might say. After the death of her parents Sam and her sister Jess move back home to Vienna Virginia to their childhood home. At a Superbowl party Sam meets a hot-shot divorce attorney, Kyle. Kyle is a player and Sam definitely knows a player when she see's one. She's also great at reading people. Acting comes in handy sometimes I guess. Sam doesn't want anything to do with Kyle and his womanizing ways. She successfully manages to avoid him and avoid all his advances. During a rehearsal for her upcoming play, Sam learns that the new director is none other than a major asshat Derrik, who has tried to get in Sam's pants too many times to count. During a confrontation between Sam and Derrik, Kyle walks in and its pretty obvious that Derrik and Kyle know each other. Turns out Kyle represented Derrik's ex-wife during their divorce. After a night of sweet words and hot sex. Kyle doesn't call Sam at all. Thinking she's been blown off, she hides out to lick her wounds only to be hassled into attending an event with her friend where she runs into Kyle. After working out their problems, it seems like they have an even bigger problem on their hands. Derrik. It's clear that he is off his rocker and mildly obsessed with Sam. I loved the suspense in this book and I more than loved Kyle. I'm really hoping that Ms, Kincaid writes Jess's story next. Another smash hit by an awesome author.
