(Faraway, #2)
Publication date: January 12th 2016
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Adult

My rating: 4

Synopsis:
An injury stops the bleeding of Meredith and Brad Walsh’s fractured marriage. As Meredith recovers and tries to regain her memory, Brad fights to convince Meredith their marriage was perfect, even if it barely existed.

But with Meredith’s memory comes clarity, and Meredith is faced with the reality of a husband and a lover. A husband who will do anything not to lose—his family or anything else, and a lover who will set her free to see her happy. Breaking up her family is not an option, but neither is staying hidden inside her mind.

My Thoughts:
I can not begin to tell y'all how excited I was to read this book. I was absolutely enthralled with The Devil's Playground, the first book. When the last book ended it left off with Meredith sending Vincent a blank email, their code for someone is suspicious and their relationship needs to end. The beginning of this book picks right up where the other book ended. Meredith takes a stumble down the stairs causing her to forget about Vincent and their relationship. Meredith thinks that there is nothing wrong with her marriage to Brad, but as some time passes she starts putting together some pieces of the puzzle and realizes that not everything is as okay as she seems to think. It kind of dawns on her that maybe she was having affair when she starts finding things that she hid, aka the money in the tampon box. Meredith also starts having dreams about her and Vincent having sex, but she's not clued into the fact that they weren't dreams. It was like Meredith was putting her life back together and figuring out new things about herself and her marriage. This book was EVERYTHING! It was so good that I finished it in a little under 3 hours.
If you missed my review of the first book, you can find it here.
