My Thoughts:
I don't even know where to start with this book. I loved it, but it was brutal. Like, "rip out your heart and make you want to find Tucker's "sperm donor" and inflict the worst kind of pain and torture imaginable". Fair warning; This book does deal with child rape and abuse, so if that is a trigger for you, stay clear of this book.
Morgan is out celebrating her 21st birthday with her boyfriend and best friend, until the boyfriend and best friend inform her that they are a couple. Morgan makes her way to a convenient store and proceeds to buy her own wine, because it's her birthday and she can. When she see's Tucker, a boy that saved her from her high school boyfriend not knowing what "no" means, a boy that she used to have such a crush on. When Tucker ends up buying Morgan's wine for her, she goes out to thank him and ends up getting stuffed in the truck. Nice birthday huh? Tucker is also desperate to settle the score with child- molesting chief of police, his father. So, kidnapping Morgan is the only out he see's, her Dad is the best lawyer and Tucker's only hope.
While Morgan is being held hostage, she and Tucker grow closer, at first I just thought it was like stockholm syndrome. but there was a real connection with Tucker and Morgan. As they both learn more about each other and Morgan learns why Tucker has kidnapped her, she vows that her Father will help Tucker. This book was so heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. My heart truly went out to Tucker and all he had to endure. I can sit here all night and tell you why I loved this book, but it would be much easier for y'all just to read it yourselves.
