Synopsis:

Officer Luc Moretti had no idea that his dive into the East River would have him drowning in a media frenzy. No matter how many times he tells reporters he was just doing his job, they're determined to make him into NYC's newest hero. Coming from a long line of NYPD's finest, Luc knows that being a cop has nothing to do with headlines and viral videos, and he's more than ready to get back to life away from the cameras—until he meets the gorgeous but jaded journalist assigned to film a TV special on him.

Ava Sims may be the only woman in NYC who isn't in love with Officer Moretti. That's why she's going after the real story—to find out about the man behind the badge. Ava's determined to keep things strictly professional, but the more time she spends around Luc, even she has to admit there's something about a man in uniform . . . and she can't wait to get him out of his.

My Thoughts:
I'm a huge fan of Lauren Layne and I always love her books, but as of right now, this series is my favorite! I adore the Moretti family and especially the Grandma! Luc is the "bambino" of the family and his known as the charming one. He has a way with the ladies. I really, really loved Luc. He was so sweet. There's a news station doing a story on Luc because he saved a little girl from a river and the whole ordeal was recorded. Luc is not too thrilled about this fact. He didn't do it for the fame. Enter Ava Sims, a nosy journalist with a nose for a good investigative story. Ava and Luc met three years ago when he gave her a parking ticket. These two were hilarious together and brought out the worst in each other, but I completely loved them. Ava is snarky and quick-witted and Luc just throws it all back at her. As they work on the story together they both realize that there is more to the other person than they originally thought. Luc has a secret though, one he hopes Ava never finds out. Ava is a good journalist and this prime time piece on Luc is just what she needs to get her career where she wants it. While following around Luc and getting to know him and his amazing family, she starts to get the feeling that there are secrets about Luc and she just knows that if she can uncover them, she'll be a shoe in for anchorwoman. If you're a fan of Lauren Layne's work, you have to read this series. Its too good to pass up.
